The lovely Ann Martin of Chicago passed away on March 20th 2017 at age 81. Dear sister of Rosemary (John) Molette, Lillie (Nathaniel) Ruben, Earlene (Perry) Bell, Jane (Harold) Smith, Frances (Eugene) Worden, and Jean Taylor; cherished grandmother to Tiffany Dorris and Alex Boone; great-grandmother to Kaitlan Johnson; fond aunt to Ladrena Smith, Latasha Worden, Mark Ruben, Larry Ruben, Darius Bell, Vernal Taylor III and a host of great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Roosevelt Martin and Georgia Martin (née Johnson), daughter Eltonette Dorris-Boone, sister Lillie Ruben and brothers-in-law John Molette, Perry Bell, Nathaniel Ruben and nephew Tijuan Hicks. Self-determined and extremely independent, Ann received both her Bachelors and Master Degree in Education at Chicago State University. She also worked tirelessly at the US Postal Service for over 30 years. Ann enjoyed her family, listening to music, and spending time with friends. She will surely be missed. Family and friends will hold a private celebration in her memory in time to come.
