Howard Terrance CastagnaHoward (Terry) was born in Philadelphia, PA to Mary Furber and Thomas J. Castagna who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother Augustino Castagna and his sister Leona Powderly. Terry was educated at Upper Darby High School in Drexel Hill, PA. He served his country in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Terry’s hobbies included spending time with his beloved family, and family pets, playing card games, and watching his favorite television shows. He was dedicated fan of Philadelphia sports but his heart was with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Terry leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Michele Castagna, one daughter, Jenelle Wilson, four sons, Dan Castagna, Brian Castagna, Andrew Castagna, and Chris Castagna, his loving jaybird, Jada Stephenson, and loving Chi Ngo, three brothers, Thomas Castagna, Joseph Castagna, and Anthony Castagna, a sister, Marianne Gorman, three grandchildren, Brandon, Katie, and Aaron, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Terry Castagna was an amazing man. He was the epitome of strength, dignity, and class throughout his life. During his many years of trials and tribulations regarding his health, he never complained or felt sorry for himself. He took it in stride and remained faithful, courageous, cheerful, and upbeat. He encouraged his family and loved ones to remain strong and steadfast as he was. This world has lost a very special man whose legacy and character of strength will live on forever. Rest in peace Howard (Terry) Castagna. You deserve it. Your work is done.
“And God shall wash away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.”
