Mary Ann J. Winters-Johr

Mary Ann J. Winters-Johr, age 76 was escorted by the loving angels to be with her Lord on February 4th, 2018.  She was born March 22nd, 1941 to the late Charles and Rita (Pesci) Vescoso in Detroit, MI.  She was employed by Ford Motor Company and retired after 30 years. She was an avid reader and always could be found with her kindle.  Her entire world revolved around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is survived by her Daughters Susan (Jim Barnaby) Kmet of Westland, MI and Christine (J.D.) Hock of Oscoda, MI that she shared with her former spouse Harold Winters. Granddaughters Rachel Winters, Kari (Ryan) King, Samantha Barnaby, Justine (Anthony) Alderete and Amanda Barnaby.  Great-Grandchildren Gabriel Winters, Kameron Kubik, Valerie Francis, Mason Winters, Bridgette Alderete, and Aiden Francis. Also surviving are her Brothers Charles (Cheryl) Vescoso and Donald (Tamar) Vescoso. Nieces and Nephews Tracy (Todd) Frey, Charles (Serena) Vescoso Jr., Tiffany (Michael) Fleischer, Donald Vescoso and Tamar (Andy) Lake.  She was preceded in death by her husband Sterling B. Johr and her parents.  Cremation has taken place per her wishes and a memorial celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Aniridia Foundation by visiting http://www.aniridia.net and follow the link to the donate page.  When you are there we respectfully ask that your gift be made in memory of Mary Ann and in honor of Mason Winters.
