Steven "Steve" Michael Anderson (68) of Sacramento, CA passed away on March 25, 2018, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Trona, CA, Steve enjoyed his days running around with his friends and helping his mom with cooking, baking, and cleaning. He served in the Navy on the USS Saratoga from 1969 to 1972. He moved to the Sacramento area to establish a family in 1978 and remained in Sacramento and Elk Grove where he raised his kids; Ian, Melanie, and Cody. He worked as a Roof Contractor throughout the region and was involved in Scouting with the Boy Scouts of America. In 1997, Steve founded Troop 118 out of Elk Grove, California. Through scouting, Steve was blessed with many friends and the opportunity to become the father figure to Jerry and Dwaine Harder. Friend to many, Steve's quick wit and helping hand has touched nearly everyone he has met. Steve would often talk about the importance of family. He loved his family and his Grandchildren were his pride and joy and some of his best friends.

Steve is preceded in death by his beloved Mother Wanda "Ruth" Anderson, and father RB Anderson, and his son, Cody Anderson. He leaves behind his children Ian Anderson (Catherine), Melanie Goodwin (Kelly,) Jerry Harder (Tricia), and Dwaine Harder (Richelle); and his adoring grandchildren Paige-Marie, Isabella, Nicholas, Hayden, Daniel, Gabriel, Thomas, Blake, Michael, Leanna, Brent, Emma, Beau, Donovan, Dixielynn, Ash, Dallas, and Kya, and his loyal Bassett Hound, Jethro.

The family welcomes anyone who would like to celebrate the life of this fun-loving man in the way he requested; with laughter and jokes, to bring your favorite stories and join us at the memorial service. Refreshments will be provided.
