William John "Bill" Smoyer

William John ”Billy” Smoyer, accomplished entrepreneur and visionary, passed peacefully in his sleep on April 10th, 2018 at his residence in Encinitas, California.  He was 49 years old.

Mr. Smoyer traveled significantly and built a vast community of friends.  Among his many achievements, he was an experienced oil and gas landman, founder of a record company and a sporting equipment enterprise, and pursued many creative and business endeavors.  He was an intelligent and principled man who stood by his convictions. He exhibited infinite enthusiasm, confidence and vision.  Above all, Bill was a loyal son, brother and friend.

Mr. Smoyer was born on November 15th, 1968 in Escondido, California.  He is survived by his mother Ginger Byrnes Smoyer of Lakewood, Colorado and his brother Scott David Smoyer of Lakewood, Colorado as well as his sister Lindsay Smoyer and brother Christopher Smoyer.  He is preceded in death by his father William Paul Smoyer.

A wake celebrating Bill Smoyer's life is scheduled for May 5th, 2018 at The American Legion, Post 17, 1901 Harlan St, Edgewater, CO 80214.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life. For condolences or more information, please contact Ginger or Scott Smoyer.
